COVID-19 Training for Event Attendees & Participants

Covid-19 has impacted all of us and our teams in many ways – and we are all wondering how live events will evolve in light of this pandemic.

Kentwood Partners has been working with a partner, Scale Up Learning, on a new offering that we would love to share with you.

Here is the thinking behind what we are doing:

We all want to open our live events – and we know it is going to be very different. Hotels and/or convention centers will be cleaner than ever and will have plans in place. But what about the personal/people aspect? How can we make sure that all of the people involved – attendees, sponsors/exhibitors/suppliers, contractors/vendors – are taking it seriously and understand what it will take for them to be at an event safely – for themselves and for others? Wouldn’t it be great if all involved are on the same page on this?

What if we have a course on the things they will need to understand – specific to the event industry? For example:

• Wearing a mask – when to wear, wear it correctly
• Social distancing at an event – how do we conduct ourselves so the event is safe for all?
• COVID-19 myths and facts

And what if all attendees and event participants are required to take this course to be able to attend your event? You could make it part of the registration process – and have them pass the test and get certified.

This is one way that we could use this and to make it more palatable for attendees and event stakeholders to attend events and not feel like they are taking a chance with their health.
